Cruising Thanksgiving Week

Thinking about cruising Thanksgiving week - wondering if anyone out there has done this before?

Right now, I'm looking at shorter cruises to Bahamas or Caribbean as airfare during this week is outrageous! Although I would really like to do a 7 day Eastern Car. trip.

I am wondering if there will be a lot of families/kids - what should I expect on board?

I ask because I took a Carnival 4 day cruise in late June/early July and it was full of teenagers with their parents - not the most enjoyable atmosphere. Lesson learned on that.

Thanks!

I think it depends on the line and the itinerary. I was on a Seabourn Spirit transatlantic crossing last year during Thanksgiving and not one child was abord. Of course, there were only 185 adults abord. I'll be on the Legend's crossing this year over Thanksgiving and am looking forward to it.
