What is the best C1 cabin on Constellation?

We generally book the highest deck number but for C1 on the M class we picked 8172. Deck 9 has the aft bar overhead and since we are not early risers were a bit concerned about people sliding chairs over our heads in the morning. Others have said it's not an issue.

What is the best C1 cabin on the Constellation class ships. We are booked in an aft cabin on 9 for December Southern Caribbean. We love the aft, but wanted to know if there is a better idea.

There is no "better" idea. Aft cabins on 7, 8 or 9 are all good!:D

Exactly right - we were on a 29 night B2B Panama Canal and started with the Deck 9 aft cabin. It was very noisy every morning as they moved all the chairs to clean the deck up above. It sounded like they drag every chair from one side to the other several times. When we moved for the second half of our cruise we had 8172 (on Infinity) and it was SO MUCH quieter! We now only book Decks 8 or 7, and avoid Deck 9.

The plus side of being on Deck 9 aft is being able to hear the evening guitarist from your own balcony.

For our July Baltic Cruise we were in cabin 7203 on the Connie - WOW what a balcony!!! It was almost al large as our cabin!!! And NO noise at all. About 2/3s was covered so we even sat out there in a mild rainstorm! We loved it so much that we booked the same cabin for a 2011 cruise!

Whatever you choose - have a GREAT cruise!!

We gave up stateroom 8185 on the Dec 4 cruise in order to secure a corner FV on 7. We've had 8185 in the past and loved it. Great location and great balcony, etc. Feels odd to see it available! We hope we've made the right decision to give up the CC amenities for the FV. We do love the expanded breakfast menu and all the other little things CC allows.

You cannot go wrong with 8185. Lovely room!!

Has anyone had stateroom 6144? We have it on Dec4th cruise. It is a C1 between some Suites so should get good service. Also appears to have a larger balcony than usual which will be nice. Just wondering if we chose right?

Thanks to everyone for their input. We have switched our aft cabin from 9 to 8. No need to hear the morning chairs scraping on the ceiling, and if the balcony on 8 is bigger than the balcony on 9 that's another advantage. Love the aft, especially on the Connie!

We had 6144 on Millennium in Feb. Service was good, but not better than any other cabin, as far as we could tell. The cabin itself was a teensy bit bigger, but not noticeably so.

Friends had an aft C1 and we were VERY envious! It was SUPER! And they seemed to get better service than we did.

Of course, that was on a different ship, so "mileage may vary."

I favor 6143 as you can tell by my signature--exact same cabin on other side of ship. The balcony is much larger than a normal CC balcony which is why they're now charging a premium. The cabin is wider than a normal CC one--you'll notice it particularly at the end of the bed. We've always had good service back there in suiteland. Enjoy your cruise!

I agree with Linda that both 6143 & 6144 are really great cabin choices! Linda & I were on the Constellation in January when she set up a "cabin crawl" for folks on our Roll Call which I thought was a really nice touch.

We've been in 6135 too which, along with 6136 are also located in "suiteland" & good 2nd choices if available when 6143 & 6144 aren't. Of course we still love those very nice, oversize aft CC & FV balconies, especially the corner ones! :D

Hi Linda.... Hope to cruise with you & Beth again one day! Good to see your warm happy smile! Nice avatar pic! :)

Hi Linda, we've been hooked for a while, but have never been able to snag one. This one just popped up at a very good price and we booked it on the spot.

Rollie

Good catch! Enjoy. Although the afts are nice as well. And thanks again for advising us in advance that you were releasing one of your afts so that our friends could snag it. They loved it! Hope to see you again on another cruise.
