Dividers on balconies

To answer your balcony question it depends on the ship, Century and Summit you cannot open the partitions to the balconies. On the Solstice you can open them up.

I think the symbols explanation is on the celebrity website on the deck plans.

Can the balcony dividers on all side by side cabins be opened, or just

for adjoining rooms. What do the symbols square and triangle mean on the deck plans? What is the symbol for adjoining rooms?

On the S-Class ships, just about all balcony dividers open. There may be an exception to that rule, but even the ones with the support beams open up. http://www.depping-design.de/test/displayimage.php?album=139&pos=20 You're staying on Deck 8? I don't believe there are any support beams. There's mostly on Deck 10 forward and Deck 11 Aft.

The square symbol means that you have a fold out sofa bed. The triangle means you have an upper berth. To show connecting cabins, there is a diagonal line that connects the two staterooms shows the interconnecting staterooms. It's explained on this Deck 8 deck plan. http://www.celebritycruises.com/plancruise/ships/ship.do;jsessionid=0000voKx3apwoljIzZBLrwfevNh:12h3rnd1c?shipCode=EC

On the S class ships, the dividers all open. On the Century and Mercury none of the dividers open. On the M class, only the dividers between the PH and the connecting SS open. No other dividers open on the M class, and there is no indication of this on their website or in their brochures.

Actually, on the M class, the divider between the Concierge Class cabin next to the Sky Suite also opens, as does the divider on the other side of the CC cabin.
