My husband and I really enjoyed this trip to Itayl, Greece,Spain, Croatia.

We found the guide on our tour to Pompeii was excellent, spoke very good English and was extremely knowledgable. Thoroughly enjoyed Majorca, we took a taxi with another couple and the young driver took us to some places not usually on the ships tours. The place was very, very clean we were out for 4 hours, he charged us 20 Euro each. The ship is extremely nice, enjoyed High Tea every afternoon, felt like being at the Ritz in London.

Our conciege was very helpful as the airline had lost our luggage (for 6 days), she managed at last to trace it and have it delivered to us on ship. Oceania were very good to us too they were laundering and ironing our few clothes every night for the days the luggage was missing and also gave us $100.00.

Also liked the open dining as we were able to meet some extremely nice people from various countries.

We are travelling with Oceania again to the Panama Canal in February and greatly looking forward to it.

Annie, we are looking at doing the Greek islands and researching which cruise ship we should go on. Any recommendations after your experience? Would a smaller ship get into quieter ports? I have heard the ports where the bigger ships go are extremely busy.

Not Annie but

Sometimes with Oceania you are the only ship in port.

The smaller ships sometimes will get into ports that the larger ships cannot or you have to tender from the larger ships where the smaller ships will dock. This is also a consideration when choosing an itinerary.
