Rare shipshape sam Posted October 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2010 What a neat idea! I am sure it has taken a lot of work. 107 pages! I found our cabin (that will be on Eclipse). I did notice that our cabin category is different.

KruzPrincess Posted October 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2010 Thanks. My cabin is on there now. It wasn't that last time I looked. I'm on the Equinox and the cabin listed in on the Eclipse. Hope it's the same because I was hoping for the bed to be near the balcony and the spreadsheet says it is on the Eclipse. Yay.

psyfi Posted October 31, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Wow that's the first I have seen that, and it is great! What a huge amount of work! Is there someway to add our opinions to it that I can bookmark/remind myself for after the cruise? I'd like to add my cabin to your list when we get back. After the "fact portion" you can add "additional comments". And the thread itself is at the top of the forum for everyone:)

librarylady19 Posted October 31, 2010 Author #13 Share Posted October 31, 2010 The spreadsheet project was started by a poster named Mysticks1 (who has moved to RC boards I believe). I picked up the project last year and expanded it a bit. I add the cabin information that cruisers have posted on the Solstice sticky (you can find it at the top of the X board). I generally post an updated spreadsheet once a month. This is the "form" for submitting your cabin info. on the Solstice Sticky thread: SHIP NAME: CABIN NO.: DECK NO: CLASS: AREA: BED NEAR? (Balcony or Bath) QUIET? BALCONY VIEW: BALCONY SIZE: WIND A PROBLEM?: SOOT A PROBLEM?: COMMENTS:

Michidoeme Posted November 1, 2010 #17 Share Posted November 1, 2010 This is a fantastic job and gives good info for future cruises. We were on Equinox last year in Cabin 8137. If you want to add info : Deck 8, not sure which category (1 or 2 B ?) Port side, Bed near balcony, no obstructions, normal balcony, no soot, wind normal, depending on day, speed of ship, etc., but you could sit nicely behind the partition at any time. Cabin quiet, no noise noticed.
Rare shipshape sam Posted November 1, 2010 #18 Share Posted November 1, 2010 We are on Eclipse in January 2011. Will come back and post our experience of our specific cabin then. It is something that we do look at(comments/opinions from previous cruisers) when considering a particular cabin/category. Again Thanks for effort! :)
