take beer to the beach?

Seems that there are a number of comments about the pricey drinks at the beach bars. Is it permitted to bring beer to the beach? If so, is there some place near the dock to pick some up?

Inquiring minds want to know!

beer in the grocery stores is expensive also. A case of budweiser is like 40 american!!! The local beer is a bit cheaper but smaller cans.

Beer prices at Ling & Sons:

It is certainly cheaper to purchase any alcohol at the store than from a beach bar.

Not sure on the price of beers at MoomBa. Check their website though to get an idea of what they offer

Bugaloe is on the end of De Palm Pier. Great spot with water on three sides. Their beers seems pretty reasonable http://www.bugaloe.com/content.php

We were in Aruba last week. If you go to Palm beach the beer at the bar is very expensive, they wanted $7 for a beer, but if you walk inside the Radison hotel from the beach, they have a convenience store next to their jewlery store. You can buy your cold beer from the fridge there, for a much better price. For the local beer the price was $3 and for the imported, such has coors light the price was $3.50 a beer...much cheaper then anywhere else. We bought a few at a time and kept them in our lunch bag. The Radison also has a bar and the price there was $5 a beer.

Stop by the beach bar at far side of Playa Linda, close to Holiday Inn side, and say hi to Claudia...she is by far one of the best!!!!

Yes she is the best. She makes awesome pina coladas and also gives nice big glasses of wine.

While you can generally take your own beer to the beach at Moomba's there is a sign specifically prohibiting bringing your own.

You can take your own beer on the beach just not the bar and restaurant area. They have a good happy hour in the evening not sure during the day.

So, to go to Playa Linda, can you just show up? Do you have to make ressie's? Anyone know the cost? Is it as good as Amsterdam Manor? How far from the ship? Sorry, I have many questions!:o

Playa Linda is a timeshare on Palm Beach. The chairs and palapas there are only for their resort guests. The beach there is not very wide and I don't think they rent their chairs to people who are not staying there. They have a small beach bar named Claudia's. I think when people are talking about Playa Linda they are referring to the beach bar, Claudia's. Its a funky little bar.
