KINGSFAN1 Posted November 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2010 So what would happen if you were half way to Hawaii?
Rare shof515 Posted November 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Drift dead in the water and await the rescue of the USCG. Im pretty sure thats the correct protocol as well as working very hard to solve the issue at hand. If it was a very bad situation, then you will be muster up and told to enter the lifeboats

friedshrimp Posted November 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2010 With a little luck, they would tow you to Hawaii instead of back to the mainland....:) Yes, get everyone to paddle so you would be past the halfway point and they would tow you to Hawaii. Then throw half their tools in the water as they are trying to repair the ship! ;)
cruisingcouple2008 Posted November 9, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Well this was a very good question, because I was thinking the same thing since we are going on a Hawaii trip in 2012. Not so much worried about the normal routes as I am like a Hawaii or a Trans- now its got me thinkin..... always book a balcony never book an interior in case of no power. klfrodo Posted November 9, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 9, 2010 :o Suprised my post didn't get pulled. For historical correctness, I must admit my father never said "butt" in the above reference. He was a bit more poetic.
dclark Posted November 9, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Didn't the Spirit get stranded on the way to HI 8 years ago? They brought in supplies and CCL did the tradition of free booze (unlike the Splendour)
