jacsar Posted November 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Hi! We're booked next year on the Allure, but am curious to know if you're able to walk outside the entire ship like you can on the Princess ships' promenade decks. I can't really see how it would be possible around the front of the ship. We used to love walking around the perimeter of the ship each day! Anyone know? Rare lv2cruisgrl Posted November 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2010 There is a walking/jogging track but some of it is behind the life boats or inside. The back area is open and there are chairs there to sit, it is much more narrow than other ships. It is different than any other ship we have been on. We also use to like to walk the prom deck but you were able to see much more of the ocean, not so much on these ships.
jacsar Posted November 11, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Thanks! That's too bad, but I'm sure the Oasis Class ships have many other things that make up for the difference.
betsyl Posted November 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I went up to the top and walked around the pool deck -- or not the pool deck, but the one above the pool. You kind of have to maneuver around the people and deck chairs but it's still a nice, long walk around.
davelliott Posted November 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I was on the Oasis last week. There is a jogging track around deck 5. Since this deck is lower than the pool deck, it is much lest crowded than on other ships. If you like jogging, this is better since you won't have as many people getting in your way. It is 2.4 times around the deck for a mile.

I can't really see how it would be possible around the front of the ship. We used to love walking around the perimeter of the ship each day! Anyone know? On Oasis/Allure, when the track goes around the very front of the ship it's more or less enclosed, but just at that end. The back and sides are open, although as someone mentioned, the view isn't always completely open due to life boats and such.
Aquahound Posted November 12, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Here's the track around the stern. It's an even better view when the backstage Aqua Theater curtains are open as they are here:

ZoeyVictoria Posted November 14, 2010 #10 Share Posted November 14, 2010 Can somebody tell me the closest point to get to the graphics of the runners that were shown in the Wolf Family Dances the Oasis video? We walked part of the track but didn't see it.
