robinph Posted January 19, 2011 #51 Share Posted January 19, 2011 Hahahaha you sure it wasnt a Picnic or Chokito bar? :p Also you sure it was a child? heheh Hey Deb, can you tell me anything about this Quest game that seems so popular. I dont know much about it, but have seen it mentioned on threads. :) Ok, if you have no hubby, knock yourself out and go and buy yourself something pretty :) The Quest is a must attend, best night I have spent on any cruise, never laughed so hard and so long. Do'nt miss it!!:D:DRobin
yatchet Posted January 19, 2011 #52 Share Posted January 19, 2011 Just looking out of window now from the internet cafe....it's P'ing down! The reason I post a few at a time is because I was loosing posts and having to redo them! What not to do on a cruise? Put your freakin kid in the pool who is not toilet trained!!!!!!!!!!......pool was shut 2 days ago from the middle of the day because there was a floater in it! Not impressed! Debsta. 'scuse my ignorance, but what's a 'floater'.;)
thied Posted January 19, 2011 #53 Share Posted January 19, 2011 I have never seen so much vomit in my entire life! :p The ship was covered in it from aft to stern, in the restaurant, toilets, everywhere......I was fortunate, majority weren't. Island night tonight. No island gear as we haven't been to a port where we can buy something...oh well. It's not like P&O where the evening centres around it. Doesn't start until 10.30 pm up on pool deck  I just had my nana nap so I should make it LOL Doing well in the casino....as in, I'm just in front....which is better than being just behind hahaha Mitch & Amie got very sick yesterday, although I'll hazard a guess Mitch was a combination of Corona poisoning LOL All three of them have said NEVER AGAIN! Can't blame them, it was a pretty poor initiation into cruising. Hopefully the rest of our days will be a lot calmer! OK I'm off for a shower then din dins (did I mention the food was yummoooooooooooooooooo!) Deb lol you must be felling a little sick as well as i lol at some of post (The ship was covered in it from aft to stern,):D I do hope you all are well and enjoy your cruise. I dont know much about it, but have seen it mentioned on threads. :) Evening activity - form teams, and race to be the first to complete the task/challenge. They start easy and get a bit wilder. lizzy77 Posted January 19, 2011 #61 Share Posted January 19, 2011 "THE QUEST". What a great night. But once you have been to one you mustn't tell!! I believe that they do change it somewhat so that people can't go prepared.

Flynnbo Posted January 20, 2011 #63 Share Posted January 20, 2011 "THE QUEST". What a great night. But once you have been to one you mustn't tell!!I believe that they do change it somewhat so that people can't go prepared. We had one of those on doing the Mexican Riveria. What a laugh. I had never been before. People were turning up with bags full of stuff!(they were in the know). But as it happened the stuff in the bags wasnt much use as it wasnt what was asked for. Cant get a man with the hairyist body IN A BAG!!!!:eek::eek: Or females in Geeees.:D:D What a laugh. I didnt see it through to the end but wished I had of. Next time on RCC I will. Debsta Posted January 20, 2011 Author #64 Share Posted January 20, 2011 No telling about the Quest night....it's a secret! However, our team came second, and I did rip my bra off in the middle of the room so we could get a point LOL Imagine me doing that :p Just had a sensational body scrub and massage. Slept in this morning, rambled up for Windjammer brekkie, met up with our group who always seem to have a table going in the smoking side of the pool  Lunch in the dining room, a coffee from Latti-tudes Desk 6 with complimentary cake of course (they don't actually offer you the free cake.....you must ask!) Ahhh it's been a lazy day. Was going to do the Make a Wish walk but got caught up at lunch. Did buy the t-shirt and made a donation though. Mens belly flop comp poolside.....hilarious! Formal night tonight. They don't do Baked Alaska or have lobster on this ship for formal night, or a champagne waterfall :( Tonights entertainment is an Abba knockoff and the Marriage Game - always good for a laugh. Smooth seas, pretty cloudy though. I don't want to go home! I wonder if there is actually a Captain on this ship? You wouldn't know! Except for his very brief 12 noon report. I wish he'd get the days right though, he said today was Friday LOL (LOL or scarey???) He said the wrong day the other day too.

The_Big_M Posted January 20, 2011 #68 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Formal night tonight. They don't do Baked Alaska or have lobster on this ship for formal night, or a champagne waterfall :( Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with that. Maybe to compensate for reduced gratuities? i.e. they have to spend on them instead of this extra I wonder if there is actually a Captain on this ship? You wouldn't know! Except for his very brief 12 noon report. Pity about that; Rick who just left was everywhere! He was great. Anyway, sounds like you've enjoyed most things so far... hope you have lots of good memories!

Debsta Posted January 21, 2011 Author #71 Share Posted January 21, 2011 *sigh* I'm home, washing going  Apart from the crap first few days we had an AWESOME TIME! Loved the ship, the crew and everything about it. Will definitely sail with Royal Caribbean again in a heart beat! Formal night. Not one of my best. Was walking out of the lift on Deck 5 across the tiled floor at 8 pm and went flat on my face! My feet went right out from under me and bang on the floor! Big ouchy! Most embarrassment also. I've hurt my wrist, knee, neck and back. And no I hadn't even had a drink! They got in on camera. I asked for a copy for Funniest Home Videos but they wouldn't give it to me :p (today I laugh but still very sore and bruised) I got free medical treatment and a lot of fussing about from the Chief Safety Officer and Guest Relations! Imagine that LOL I'll try to write a review over the next few days, but ask any questions now and I'll do my best to answer Off to search for another adventure before the post-cruise blues set in! Hi Debsta, Yes... booking another cruise helps with the cruise blues. We have one to look forward to at Easter on Pacific Pearl and after working out about another NYE cruise, you said about how you had done NZ but I had never thought of as we love the warm weather, snorkelling etc.... but unless we wanted to fly overseas and cruise then fly home, this NYE there werent a lot of options apart from South Pacific and NZ. (we have done South Pacific four NYE in a row) so.....We have booked NZ to Sydney on The Diamond Princess....There are a few of us doing this cruise who we met on cruises previously, so it will be great. havent been on a ship that big before so quite excited... Looking forward to review and hearing allllll about it. I didnt really do a review but posted a fair bit so that will do :p Hope you feeling ok and not too sore and sorry.. Take care and will hear from you soon. Fiona:)
pacificlover Posted January 22, 2011 #73 Share Posted January 22, 2011 "THE QUEST". What a great night. But once you have been to one you mustn't tell!!I believe that they do change it somewhat so that people can't go prepared. Sounds like the "Afternoon Madness" that P&O ships had. When Dan Steins was CD it was MADNESS........so funny. I asked Dan on a later cruise why they did not have them any more and he said P&O was concerned that people would hurt themselves in the mad scramble.
