sippican Posted January 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2011 What apps have you found helpful during your planning and cruising? We have an iPad and IPod -currently loaded with Shipmate (iPod only), Rick Steve's walking tours of Italy, Conde Nast's Best Of Italy. Am looking for an app to help organize travel documents, reservations, tours, etc. Does anyone have any favorite apps for travel?
Cardiolite Posted January 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Tripit http://www.tripit.com/ Very good app/website for general travel organization. Seems like that is what you are looking for to keep everything together. Kayak www.kayak.com Good app/website for researching flights, cars, hotels, etc.

Donut23 Posted January 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Wee bit of eye-candy here. Shipmate - Royal Caribbean (other cruiselines too) It has planning features...but I enjoy the countdown. 7870 hours until the ship departs!!
waterbug123 Posted January 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Tripit http://www.tripit.com/ Very good app/website for general travel organization. Seems like that is what you are looking for to keep everything together. I'm a fan of Tripit as well. You can use the regular website and set up an account, and then they have an iphone app for it as well. Once your account is set up, you just forward your flight, car rental and hotel reservations to the website and it automatically inserts them into the appropriate trip itinerary. BrianAlt Posted January 18, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Shipmate - Royal Caribbean (other cruiselines too) I use Shipmate too. Came in handy the other night when I wanted to show some friends what cruise we will be on. They might join us! I also use Kayak all the time. goldne Posted January 18, 2011 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2011 I also love Tripit! We used to travel with a big envelope with all of our travel documents, no longer - everything goes in Tripit. Plus on the website you can load pictures of places you're going and share your travel details with family and friends. I also have a great packing app called Packing Pro. It's fantastic - since I got it, I have never forgot a single thing for a trip! Hope that helps. :)
PennyAgain Posted January 18, 2011 #11 Share Posted January 18, 2011 I am really fond of WorldMate GOLD and various forms of Flight Tracker. Also you can't beat Flight Board for airport information on your day of travel. Don't forget to pack your power cords/chargers.
