Late Flight in FLL post Cruise Nearby Mall?

I have a 6:00pm flight out of FLL, does anyone have a suggestion to a nearby mall for a movie and food, for a post cruise on Sunday. Thanks for any suggestions. Leslie

The closest one that comes to mind for me would be Oakwood Plaza Mall on Stirling Road south of the airport.

Las Olas Riverfront has a movie theater and a number of restaurants.

Sawgrass would kill the day, but it's quite a hike. I would rent a car for the day for that. Of course, taxi fare to anywhere and back to the airport would run more than a rental would and you at least have a place to stick your luggage.

Most of the restaurants have closed but I think the Briny is still open. Himmarshee Grill west of the railroad tracks is nice.

Sawgrass is only 20 mins from the pier (per google maps). We have a full day in Ft Lauderdale after our cruise and will probably rent a car ($40) and spend the day there shopping and catching a movie.

The closest mall is the Galleria on sunrise blvd..just over the bridge from the beach. But there's no movie theater....

 

The movie theater would be at Oakwood Plaza or Coral Ridge Mall (both big outdoor shopping centers, not malls).

 

About a 1/2 hour drive is Aventura Mall, which has EVERYTHING!!

Yes, we always seem to overlook Aventura, which is larger than Sawgrass (by footage, although Sawgrass has a lot more stores) and about half the distance away. But Sawgrass is an easier drive being pretty much all highway, rather than city street all the way to Aventura.

Aventura is a straight shot on I-95 south...right to Ives Dairy Road....

 

I hope you're not taking US-1 the whole way?
