Dining on embarkation day on NCL

We will be cruising on the NCL jewel March 6. I was wondering if the dining rooms are open for lunch that day.

Yes, if you get on early enough the buffet and at least one main dining room will be open for lunch. If you are in a suite, Cagney's is usually open for lunch as well.

We always love our embarkation day lunch in the MDR....its usually quiet and after the rush rush of airplanes and checking in, nice to relax, order the first vacation margarita and have a leisurely lunch and start to wind down into vacation mode.

Just finished our cruise on the Jewel. Tsar's MD was open for lunch. Blue Lagoon not open on embarkation

One will be open as well as the buffet. Blue Lagoon will not be open until much later in the afternoon.

just off the Star- unfortunately, Cagneys was NOT open for lunch to suite guests. They said they had not finished being cleared!!They had no idea when they could be ready. This was at 1:30 pm. We were asked to head to the buffet or the Versailles dining room for lunch. That was a disappointment, but we just opted for plan B. and went to the buffet..
