johnql Posted April 4, 2011 #27 Share Posted April 4, 2011 How far is the New York Cruiseship Terminal from Penn Station. We will be arriving by Amtrak from Boston in June. Cabs must be readily available. It's under 1-1/2 miles. Cabs are definitely available outside Penn Station. The cab should cost between $10-15 (depending on traffic). Lipz Posted April 4, 2011 #28 Share Posted April 4, 2011 We just arrived, moved quickly through check-in and into the waiting area where we sipped hot chocolate and began to relax and shift gears to vacation mode. We actually enjoy the wait until boarding begins. Does the terminal have food kiosks or snack stands?
canpass Posted April 4, 2011 #29 Share Posted April 4, 2011 We used New York for our Gem cruise and it was probably one of the best boarding processes we encountered. We were on the ship in no time. My only complaint was being in a suite we did not get escorted onto the ship as promised. the disembarkation process was just as smooth.
WinterSky Posted April 4, 2011 #30 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Does the terminal have food kiosks or snack stands? No, there are no food kiosks or snack stands at the terminal, however you can enjoy the complimentary beverages and snacks provided by NCL for waiting cruise passengers. At times there has been a hot dog cart you could buy food and snacks from, but that wasn't the case the last time we were there in November. Not only that, NCL didn't have any complimentary coffee, hot chocolate or cake out either.
