Euros...never been to Europe and need help

Glad I bought a whole lot of euros when they were down to $1.25!

 

To the OP, I don't use ATMs at all, either in the US or abroad. Always get my foreign currency from my bank ahead of time or use credit cards without a foreign exchange fee. If I were on your trip, I would probably get about 500 euro in cash to take with me and use a credit card for everything else. Would probably come home with a lot of euros in cash, but that's ok because it assures that it is not my last trip to that country!

Rachel, we do this too. I have a zipper pouch full of different kinds of currencies, hostage against the hope of future travel.
