FLL airport taxi to ship by meter or set rate ?

There are signs clearly posted that say there is no flat rate. Yesterday we paid $14.10 on the meter from the Ruby Princess to Air Canada at Fort lauderdale airport. Round it up to $20 with tip, and it is cheaper than the $14 per person that Princess charges...

By the way, we used self-debarkation, were off the ship at 7:30, and checked in and going through security by 8:05...remarkably fast...

Metered, it will run you pretty much $20 with tip. However, one thing to watch is the flag charge is $2.50 and some drivers will start the meter as soon as they start putting luggage in the trunk which isn't correct, have the driver re-set the meter.
