Complimentary upgrades on PG Cruises

We were on 3 cruises on the PG and were upgraded once. This was never an issue with us as the 3 and 4 decks are basically the same excepting 3 has 2 large port holes and 4 one bay window. We don't need a balcony nor a butler.;)

We are going in less than 3 weeks and I was notified by my travel agent today that we were upgraded. We asked our travel agent to put our name on a list for complimentary upgrades if available when we booked last year. I think the main reason that we got upgraded is because we listed special occasions(birthday and anniversary) during our cruise. So tell your travel agent or PG if booking directly to put your name on the upgrade list and ensure any special occasions are under your reservation.

Wow, nice. Did you get a significant upgrade? Usually, in the past, they attempted to sell discounted upgrades prior to the cruise. We did this once, and it turned out great because we upgraded to a C GTY but ended up in a B on deck 8. Those B cabins, although not very much bigger than standard, are in a wonderful location, with a butler.

We were presented with a discounted upgrade for our B2B almost 2 months ago. We decided to accept, but when our TA responded to PG about 90 minutes later, the upgrade was gone on the first leg of our B2B. So no deal for us. :(:(

Don't sweat the lower cabins, it's where all the frequent cruises sail (that's how we can afford it!). Low and mid-ships is the place to be should you experience any rough seas (not too likely, but...).

Sleep in your cabin and party on deck!
