Anginette Posted March 29, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 29, 2011 They have a contract with Pepsi (unfortunately). No Coke whatsoever.
NODAK1979 Posted March 29, 2011 #12 Share Posted March 29, 2011 Coke is so superior to Pepsi it's ridiculous. I'm not happy about this.

Anginette Posted March 29, 2011 #14 Share Posted March 29, 2011 Coke is so superior to Pepsi it's ridiculous. I'm not happy about this. I agree, but Pepsi contracts cost less because Pepsi is an inferior product.
cmdchiefthom Posted March 29, 2011 #15 Share Posted March 29, 2011 I do recall my wife being able to order diet coke in a can on the Pearl, but just in case that's changed, I've got a case of diet coke packed in a suitcase! She simply can't stand diet pepsi:rolleyes:
Army/Police Vet Posted March 29, 2011 #16 Share Posted March 29, 2011 They used to be Coke, but switched to Pepsi a few years ago. Pepsi offered them a cheaper alternative.

alwalaska Posted March 30, 2011 #18 Share Posted March 30, 2011 On the Spirit, I saw a better variety of beverages available than any previous cruises, but yes, all Pepsi products. I don't remember Dr Pepper or Mr Pib, but there was Orange, Root-beer, and real Ginger-ale just to name a few. Also, one time when I asked for a Sierra Mist, they asked Diet or regular. By the way, I drink Coke, not Pepsi, but I like Mt Dew and non-colas, so I still buy the soda card on NCL.

sverigecruiser Posted March 30, 2011 #21 Share Posted March 30, 2011 The reason for them to sell Pepsi instead of Coke is probably that they want to sell more wine, beer and fancy drinks!!! I don't cruise to drink soda but if I did, I should choose a cruiseline with Coke products!
mistshar Posted March 30, 2011 #22 Share Posted March 30, 2011 I can drink Pepsi but I prefer Dr. Pepper and we are bringing some with us. My 2nd choice is Coke. However I will drink Pepsi in the dining room.

SuperTrooper00 Posted March 30, 2011 #25 Share Posted March 30, 2011 Sorry, I just have to post about how much the title of this thread cracks me up. I certainly realize different parts of the country say things differently...but I don't think I have ever heard the term 'Cola' used in Southern California. So, it makes me smile. :D People here will say 'Soda' or 'Soft Drink', but never 'Cola'. That's awesome. I think if someone asked me what kind of 'Cola' I liked (even though I don't drink soda) I would say, "Coca, isn't that the only kind?".
