Cruisin D Posted April 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Thanks in advance for your help..... We are new to Royal Caribbean, and are sailing on b2b cruises in IOTS in October/November this year. My Kids would like to know if there is a mascot for the kids, they loved Freddy on Carnival and Squok on Costa. Are the shour tours well priced and well organised? Any other hints or tips that you think would help us. Thanks again
cb at sea Posted April 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Shore excursions....depends on what you want to do! Many things are quite easy (and cheap) to do on your own. If you're not comfortable with that, then by all means, use the ship's excursions. They are generally well-organised and fun...they may not be the best value, but your peace of mind won't have a "value" put upon it! If you want to DIY, get a guidebook on your ports....it's a good idea to know something about where you're going, anyway! Bring binoculars....there's alot to see out there! I have not heard about any plans to add them to Independence. I have been researching shore excursions, too. We leave in 13 days. The ports of call boards have been invaluable for that research.
