Rare kazu Posted April 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2011 You can have it delivered to the stateroom or to the dining room and they are interchangeable. So, if you want you can have it in the dining room and ask for your selection to be sent to your stateroom. Or, you can bring a bottle from your room to the dining room. Hal stewards know their wine - you will not be charged a corkage fee. Same thing if you are gifted a bottle of wine and want to bring it. No charge as long as it is HAL's bottle. Have a great cruise :)

Alida Posted April 16, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2011 If I buy one, will I still have to pay the corkage fee if I bring a bottle to the dinning room? As far as I know, the bottle will be brought to your every dinner. the wine steward will take it at the end of the dinner if it is not empty. I am presuming that you are buying the wine package on board. Hope this helps.
Hawaiidan Posted April 17, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2011 That many times the wines in Holland Americas wine packages include some gems and some lemons. I would suggest that it is much wiser and cheaper too to pick you own. I did a quick cost check and found the wines I liked were not on any package. And further, that I could mix and match for 30% cheaper than any package.

Easy solution - wait til you get onboard and then review :) We usually do the wine package because we do get value (especially if you are a three or four star mariner). There are usually only two or three out of the entire package that we choose, but they are usually good and we enjoy them:) that's just us though and our opinion :D
