Grand Ste. vs X's Sky Ste?

Recommended Posts

I think the equivalent cabins would be classified like this:

Celebrity RCCL

Sky Suite (SS) = Junior Suite (JS)

Celebrity Suite (CS) = Grand Suite (GS)

Royal Suite (RS) = Owners Suite (OS)

Penthouse Suite (PH) = Royal Suite (RS)

So if my logic is correct the Sky would be a class under the Grand - and probably not a fair comparison...

Sorry!

it totally depends on the ship but if you are talking about the solstice class vs. radiance/voyager/freedom/

The sky suite is much more like a GS than a JS.

The Sky suite has butler service and full room service.

Also the decor is a huge cut above a JS on RCI.

The fact is it's not an easy comparison at all... it's truly apples/oranges.

Do Sky Suites have these amenities? I think Sky Suites were smaller than a JS on Freedom and Voyager class.

Our cabin of choice is a JS on RCI. We've sailed on Celebrity Summit in a Skye Suite. The JS on Radiance class and above IMHO is slightly larger than the Skye suite on Summit. There was no walk in closet in the Skye Suite, but the bathroom was slightly larger than what is found in a JS. Plus on Summit there was a long narrow window over the back of the tub that looked into the cabin and it had an automatic shade that was controlled from a button on the side of the counter in the bathroom.

We did get both a cabin attendant and a butler. The amenities offered, from what I remember, is that every afternoon at around 3 PM you got a visit from your butler offering you a variety of tea-time goodies plus either coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Otherwise we never saw him.........and there were days when the "do not disturb" sign was put on the door.

SS is still about the same size as a JS on the Royal class ships listed above...no a JS doesn't have a butler but square footage is very similar as SS on Solstice class with X
