Heads up Notice...Maasdam

Recommended Posts

Prince William and his new bride, Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge ( Kate Middleton ), will be in Montreal, Saturday July 2.

That is the date for embarkation for the Montreal/Boston cruise.

According to today's Ottawa Citizen newspaper, " The royal visit will be on a size and scale like nothing Canada has seen perhaps since the royal visit that happened in 1986 when Prince Charles and Princess Diana visited Vancouver."

It would probably be wise to anticipate traffic flow issues and other disruptions in Montreal with regards to this event.

The newlyweds will also be in Charlottetown July 3 and 4, but the Maasdam does not reach Prince Edward Island until July 5.

I posted their schedule on this forum last night. The Royal Couple will also be in Quebec City with Maasdam on July 3. :) Wouldn't it be fun to get a glimpse of them. :)

•Ottawa: June 30 - July 2.

•Montreal: July 2.

•Quebec City: July 3.

•Charlottetown: July 3 - July 4.

•Summerside: July 4.

•Yellowknife: July 4 - July 6.

•Calgary: July 6 - July 8.

It seems Maasdam will be in Quebec City the day that William and Katherine visit there, July 3. Would be fun to catch a glimpse of the handsome couple. I was glued to the TV watching the wedding.

I also just realized July 2, is Debark/Embark day in Montreal and the couple is expected to be in Montreal on that date .... along with Maasdam.

that is probably the understatement of the year ;) Anyone who wants a pre-cruise hotel had better have it booked asap;)

Wonder if it might be good for Maasdam to stop in Quebec City and not sail to Montreal that week. It's been working smoothly these weeks due to the high water level in St. Lawrence River. Maybe they'll opt to stay in Quebec City that week?
