Princess excoursions, do they shut down

The excursions portion of the Personalizer closes 5 (or %, as Paul says!) days prior to departure. However, you can still book excursions onboard. If there's something you're particularly keen on, head right to the Shore Excursions desk as soon as you board and sign up, since many will fill up -- and if the one you want is full, definitely wait-list -- you never know if they'll add more spots/have cancellations.

For excursions you've already booked online, the steward will deliver your excursion tickets on embarkation day when he comes in to introduce himself. You can check them over then and, since Princess doesn't charge for them in advance, you still have time to cancel any you've changed your mind on. The deadline for cancelling each excursion will be printed on the ticket and will also be listed in that day's Patter, the daily newspaper.

Sometimes, people print out what they've booked so they have a record once they board, but since you'll get your tickets right away, you should be in good shape. And now you'll know about printing before the 5-day mark for next time!

You do not have to wait until they are open. Just fill out the available form and put it in their drop box. If a tour you want is listed as sold out, mark that you want to be on the waitlist. However, as the waitlist may not always come through, pick an alternate excursion if you see one you would like. If the waitlisted one comes through, you can cancel the alternate one.

The 5 day lockout makes it interesting for those who haven't booked yet. An excursion brochure is waiting in your room. Some will show sold out! as it reflects those already booked. (They can't just add unlimited numbers :( )
