Emerald VS Caribbean Princess-differences?

Hello, just wondering what the differences are between these two ships. I sailed on the Emerald in March 2010, and will be on the Caribbean (CB?) March 2012. From the deck plans on the website, the ships seem very similar or even identical. Anyone been on both? I remember the layout on Emerald being odd, and the ship was a bit difficult to navigate, I'm guessing this will be the same on CB?

Caribbean has the Skywalkers shopping cart handle, Emerald does not. EM

The shopping cart handle? I'm not sure what that means...

Skywalkers is on the very aft end of the ship and has the appearance of a shopping cart handle.

I found them both very similar. Emerald is the newer ship but the Caribbean was renovated and public/dining rooms including the casino were moved about 2 years ago this coming Fall.

1. The International cafe on the CB does not have gelato.

2. The Crown Grill and Sabatinis are located in different places on each ship.

3. There is no Adagio on the CB.

 

Otherwise.....they are pretty much the same.

Caribbean was dry-docked in Jan. 2009, and will be dry-docked this year in Nov. EM

:mad: so sad, we booked CP for August and we were really looking forward to the gelato! Do they have any ice cream in the International cafe?

Am I correct that the Caribbean Princess is essentially identical to the Grand, Golden, and Star Princess except that an additional deck of rooms of rooms (Riviera deck?) was added?

Perhaps this was true when CB was originally built but not true now that Grand has had its re-fit.
