cabin selection

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are booked for a family of 4 on NOS, currently in a deck 6 JS. Apparently, we got the worst cabin on the ship because of the deck beyond our balcony. I am wondering if it is worth it to switch to a D1 hump cabin. Because there are 4 of us, and the kids are getting bigger, we like the size of JS, but we are big balcony people to, spending lots of time out there. Has anyone done either or both? Any comparisons? Is the view from 6692 really that bad? We are giving up lots of cabin space...

Any opinion really appreciated,

Kim

If you have the extra money, book a cabin in each category and see where prices shake out just before final payment. Cancel the cabin you don't want before final payment.

Another JS is bound to open up when people cancel just keep checking everyday.

The cabins on the aft on deck 6 isn't one that we would book, but if you need the extra room and don't use the balcony much, the cabin will work for your purpose.

Extra Room!

Jimbo:)

Hi, Proudmommie-

Have you considered the D1 (balcony) with the connecting L (inside) aft?

9676/9681 and 9376/9381 on Deck 9...both are available for your sailing.

Each cabin fits 2 people, and with 2 bathrooms and the additional space, it is ideal for a family of 4 (we have one of these booked for the Navigator 9-nighter next March)! Just keep the door open between the cabins (that's what we do) and its like having a small suite!

Ask your room steward for a robe and a lounger for quiet time on the balcony. A tip (as soon as you meet him/her) goes a long way with any request you might have.

Enjoy!

I'd keep the JS....it has to be an AFT balcony Js....they are the only JS's on deck 6. The balcony will be huge, and the cabin is much larger than a D catagory. You'll still be able to see "out to sea", but you won't be able to look straight down, which really isn't that big of a deal!

Great suggestion. We traveled with folks who had this set up and it worked out great for them.
