NY Harbor webcam is now up and running!

Recommended Posts

Thought I would let everyone know--- it is operated by the same folks who run the Port Everglades webcam. http://www.nyharborwebcam.com/

Great! It is apparently different from the one that went defunct a few years ago. That one was shot from a building in Manhattan and allowed control of the camera for a half-minute. This one seems to be shot from Staten Island, aimed at Manhatten. With a combinations of this, the other webcams (WiredNY.Com), and some of the ship's own webcams, there is pretty good coverage. The simultaneous screen of the AIS is an added bonus, to see what ships you are looking at.

Thanks for sharing your find.

I do too, and as the ship sails out of view, change to webcam2, followed by webcam1, which looks all the way down the river. Another view of the Manhattan terminal can be seen from the Intrepid's webcams.

More things to become addicted to !
