On another RCL thread they said there is a "white theme night" at the pool and MDR on the Liberty. Does Oasis/Allure have these theme nights as well? I want to make sure we pack the right stuff!

Having been on both Oasis and Allure, I am pretty confident is saying no. But I could have missed it ;) there was definitely a disco night (not in the MDR) but I don't remember a white night.

The Allure has a white night party up in the Solarium. I don't remember the night though.

Great Post!

What are the not to miss restaurants on the Allure?

Thanks!

150 Central Park - if you're in to fine dining and really great wines.

Totally worth the extra $$$.

Me and my wife went there for the first formal night and were so pleased that we immediately made a reservation for the second formal night as well. We wanted to try the second menu as well.

we learned that the formal nights are the least busy nights because most people chose to dine in the MDR. That suited us perfectly!

Day 6 on the Western Itinerary has the "twenty" outdoor dance club in Solarium but no mention (in Cruise Compass) of it being a White themed party. There IS a "Black & White" theme party in the nightclub (deck 4) on Day 3. Hope this helps.

Which eateries do you recommend for vegetarians? Hubby is a vegetarian I eat fish. no chicken' date=' pork, or:o turkey.

Thx[/quote']

There are lots of options for vegetarians on the Allure.

In the mornings at the Central Park Cafe there is a bagel bar and you can choose your toppings. Also the solarium has great healthy breakfasts (fresh fruits, oatmeal, granola, eggs, tomatoes, cereals) with lots of vegetarian options and great lunch options too. Central Park Cafe had veggie quesadilla's that were very good. & great salads & veggie wraps in the afternoons. The main dining room always had many vegetarian options too that are marked as vegetarian (potato curry, lots of different soups, salads and pasta dishes)

At Chops I was able to order a bunch of side dishes (asparagus, huge baked potato, can't remember what else) and was very satisfied!

Also at Rita's Fiesta there was a pre-set menu. Once we were seated I told them I was a vegetarian and they brought out a special meal for me which was so accommodating. It was VERY spicy but I thought it was great that they were able to do that.

  • 3 weeks later...
Before we took Enchantment I read every page of the EOS thread. We will, with many others, be sailing allure next year.

I would LOVE to see this thread become like that one. ( Unless there is one I haven't found already)

Tips I have learned go forward on deck 14 (left side) secret door to fantastic sail away spot.

Anyone know about bringing on two bottles of wine in our suitcases? Someone said that they did.

Where can we find a Cruise Compass for the Allure Eastern Caribbean sailings?

Glass bottles are almost always detected when your luggage is scanned!

You can easily pre-order bottles of wine for delivery to your stateroom.

We are sitting at the airport waiting for our flight. The has been a slight change to self debarkation. They now schedule self debarkation to start at 6:45 in place of 6:15. The change was made by the local officials. Those who join the ship in a port other than Ft. Lauderdale must now present themselves to customs/immigration first before the ship will be cleared. Depending on how quickly those guests shows up, depends on how quickly self debarkation starts. Just an FYI.

This morning went smooth and we debarked at 6:45 and made it to the airport by seven.

IMO, they are easily avoided. They did have events in the Aqua theater, and a parade in the promenade, but we avoided them. The only time I actually saw the characters was when I tried to do an 11am run on the running track on deck 5. They have a dressing room at the aft end there and make there way across the track to get to stairs to the aqua theater. I nearly ran into an un-escorted hippo that day.

That visual image just made my day. Thank you. :p

It was Thursday night on the Eastern itinerary, this was the only night our deck 12 forward room was not a good one because of the noise from that party. (After about 2am it was ok) We were right under the cantilevered hot tubs so we were even with the doors going into the solarium. The bass was incredible, I felt sorry for those on deck 14.

These are from January of 2011. Does anyone have any from this year?

I'm working on trying to scan mine from last week...I just haven't had time. I will say this though...I looked at the January 11 ones and not much really changed
