Hellolost Posted July 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2011 We are seriously thinking about going on the December 26th 4 day cruise to Mexico and have only ever done a Princess Cruise to Alaska before. I know that they are going to be completely different types of cruises but how is the boat? The food? Mexico in December? What makes Carnival special? I look forward to your replies. hfweather Posted July 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2011 I was on the Inspiration in Jan. had such a great time, I came home & cancelled the cruise I was booked for and booked the Inspiration again. I haven't been to Mexico in Dec, so I can't help with that sorry. I can tell you imo the Inspiration has a wonderful crew onboard. They have a great waterworks area. As far as the food goes, I never went hungry that's for sure & I'm a picky eater.

gapearl Posted July 15, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2011 I really enjoyed the Inspiration. I have a review in my signature with LOTS of pictures of the ship, room, food, and Cozumel from my excursion. Hopefully it will help you make a decision. :)

CruisingMainer Posted July 15, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2011 We sailed on the Inspiration the past two years in February. I love the size of the ship, as it is big enough, but not huge. The crew was great, plenty to do, and the food was good. The first year was couples only and went in early February. That year there were LOTS of elderly people (walkers, oxygen, etc.) At night the bars and casino were not busy at all. This year it was my family (DH and our 9 yo DS), and another family. The kids had fun on the waterworks, in the arcade, and at Camp Carnival. I love the Serenity Deck for a little quiet time.
