Grand caymen/ tendering/ excursion question

Yep... from the pier.

You're not on the tender more than about three minutes once it leaves the ship. You'll spend more time waiting for everyone to board than you will in transit.

Since you're booked with Carnival for your excursion you can be one of the earliest off the ship...

TY. Well the ship docks at 8 and the excursion starts at 9:30 so there is some time. I just wanted to have a idea of what we were doing. Another question though. We are doing a snokel excursion and are going on a boat to do it. When we go in the water how do we keep our valuables safe. I plan on having our id's , sign and sail. A credit card and a little cash. Should I make my husband carry it? Will it be safe is a bag. We are leaving our rings on board the ship. I have heard horror stories or friends who went into the ocean and off wen the wedding band. Ours were my parents and are not replaceable.

You can usually leave your valuables on the snorkel boat with no trouble. If you are worried about it, get one of those little waterproof boxes you wear around your neck, we have done that often. They usually have them in the ship giftshop, or pretty much at any junkstand in the Carrib.

I don't take off my jewelry in Grand Cayman. Jamaica and Cozumel, I leave everything in the safe.

Grand Cayman is one of my favorite ports . We have left money, credit cards, passports, etc. on the boat while snorkeling. I'm not saying that I place these in full view of the other passengers, but I have never really worried about being ripped off.
