summercruise Posted August 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Is this hotel ok? There are 4 of us arriving after midnight so we just need a hotel whose airport shuttle runs that late. We are not worried about resturants or shopping, just need a place to sleep. Cruising out of Miami so will likely use QLS or SAS. This hotel lists a 24hr airport shuttle. megr1125 Posted August 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2011 yes it was VERY nice..stayed there 2 or 3 times within a couple months....breakfast buffet is pretty darned good too... they don't have a free shuttle, but IIRC there was a sign about a pay shuttle service......OOPS..sorry, i didn't catch the sailing out of miami part.... it isn't near anything, but you said you will be getting in late..... i would stay there again in a heartbeat..(and not that you need it, but their M-Th social hour/dinner is great too)

Puffinater Posted August 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 22, 2011 We have stayed there on Hilton points and found it more than adequate. The breakfast is nice. The shuttle was a bit slow.
twentyknots Posted August 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2011 We stayed there in February for pre cruise. Embassy was our first choice, but no availability. Our overall experience was good and about $100 cheaper. As I recall the shuttle from the airport was free; we just tipped the driver. Not a long wait either. The front desk was efficient and friendly. Our suite was nice, clean, and well-furnished. We hung around the pool in the afternoon which was pleasant. Later that evening we took the free shuttle to a shopping area, had dinner, and walked around for a bit. When we were ready to return to the hotel, we called and requested the shuttle pick us up in front of the Target and were told it would be 15 minutes, but it was almost an hour. The next morning we worked out in the exercise room which was adequate and used the internet room to make some arrangements online. Breakfast was the typical free self service hotel breakfast: cereal, breads, pre-cooked eggs, sausage, etc. Shuttle to the cruise port was about $6 per person. We would stay there again, but only if some other, more conveniently located hotels in the area were unavailable.
