There was a double decker bus that took you around the town on a tour...it was $3.00 and it was fun...nice way to see the town and introduce you to the area.

most of the eating places had FREE taquilla tasting

and most were across the street from the beach area...you could rent a cabanna for about $10.00 or just set up with your beach towel if you wanted...

OMG you should have seen her face...it was priceless...We did not know that the waiter was going to pour the "soup" in AFTER he placed the bowl in front of her LOL...she thought that was all she was getting LOL

EVERYONE at our table laughed at this. It was so funny!!

LOL to funny, I wish you had taken a pic of your sisters face when she seen the Strawberry Bisque plate.

There was a place where we stopped and ppl bought beer for $2.00...it is just behind DD in this pic

All in all Progreso was nice...my advise:

If you just want to shop you can totally do that, and if you want to do the beach and/or drink all day, that is very easy to do also...Just be ready for ppl asking you to look at their stuff and to buy...heck that is what you and them are there for LOL...it wan't too bad really :)

There were ppl selling the tours that were the same a CCL excursions but cheaper...you could wait to buy them when you get there and next time I think that is what I will do...

I'm loving your review. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to explore the Triumph. I booked the very 1st cruise on her out of Galveston. 37 more days, but who is counting... :D

Thanks...you are going to have so much fun on her...I love 7 day trips and this ship is really nice...wish I didn't have to leave her...be sure to catch the shows...I hope they are the same exp the Big Easy...what a treat!!

ok, so we went back to the ship and had lunch...DD and I swam and got in the hot tub, which it was TOO hot for, but fun. We then changed clothes and watched Michael Jackson's This Is IT on the big screen...

While in Progreso, Chel got a "KISS" tattoo on her neck...it didn't last long..for $5.00 what did cha expect LOL

Loving the review. I can not wait to sail on Triumph in 83 days :D It will be my second cruise and my husband's first. (I am making him take me for a belated honeymoon over Thanksgiving week).....he is going to LOVE it :) Thanks for all of the info and pics....I can't wait to read more!

Tonight was the showcase of start, which we did not go to.. We went to Karaoke. I met some ppl from a class of 1981 reunion. They were from TN...I sang with them and had a blast...I love Karaoke really I do!!

Then it was on to the Mega Deck Party and Mexican Buffet...

We did the line dances, conga line and such...

They had the cool CCL shot glasses that lit up...Im a sucka for stuff like that so I just had to have one LOL...

The C02 kiddos were at the deck party with us but DD was hanging out with a boy and would not come dance with me, nor would my sis...she did dance from her seat on the deck...

I like that they moved the deck chairs and put out tables and chairs...it made more room...Also they had smoking on one side of the ship and I was glad to know they did enforce this change. You just knew where to walk to avoid the smoke :)

This would be the night that DD tested me on her curfew...

I had to go and find her in my PJ's and head rag...Mama was not happy...

She was only about 10 min late, but I was not giving her the chance to push it.

I am glad to report that she on other nights did keep to her 1AM crewfew :D

She did not want me out in my head rag, and pj's anymore needless to say!!

Love your review! I'm noticing a trend on CC, with moms taking their daughters on cruises for their 16th birthday and I think it's great. Only a few more years and they're off on their own--it's such a wonderful way to spend time together and make lots of memories. You're a great mom!

I love to dance and have a good time...I don't even need a drink to do so;)

Cozumel...

We got up and had breakfast..it was good as usual

We were super excited about the shopping in Cozumel. DD especially excited. She had money burning a hole in her new Mexican purse LOL. I was excited because the last time I came here, we went str8 to Palya Del Carmon (sp) and did not see any of Cozumel at all. They have built this new shopping area pass through( I call it) since I was last there...It's like at Disney, when you finish a ride you have to pass through the gift shop to exit...well you have to pass this "gift shop" to enter and exit LOL...it has mostly Liquor in there and ppl standing still painted gold/silver for money:rolleyes:

 

We were docked next to Ecstasy and they had runners...more on that later... it was too funny 100_0160.jpg

I'm loving your trip report... It's awesome... You guys look fabulous!!!!

 

I can definitely tell your daughter is a gymnast's she has the most fabulous arms... Rae has them too. She competed gymnastics since she was 7 and after her sophmore year she quit... Out of the blue... Made me so crazy but her body hurt so bad... and yes she had those fabulous arms too... :)

 

Sounds like you guys had a blast... Your cake looked great... You did good. I know it was yummy cuz it was just like the cake we had. Was she so excited???

 

Sounds like Club Zero was great for her. I'm really glad...

 

Looks like you had a blast... I'm really glad. Looking forward to reading more...
