Marathon man on Grand Princess

Has anyone heard anything about a man running a marathon on the Grand Princess, my husband has heard this takes place on Thursday 22nd Sept which will be our 2nd day out from Southampton, where will he run?

we wondered about the stairs, but he has already thought of that. thanks for confirming details, will try to stay out of his way would hate to trip him up on our daily walks.

OMG...my husband runs one or two marathons a year and would never do one on a promenade deck with that many turns and stairs...should be interesting...

Like many other posters, I have run marathons as well and have run aboard ships. This run could be tough for sure and would be interesting to watch. with the turns, stairs, movement and the folks in the path. To even run that in 5 hours would be amazing.

Quite a few years ago, my husband ran from Portsmouth to France for charity. Around and around the deck of one of the channel ferries. It was hard going as the decks there are just metal plates.
