Hi there everyone, four of us are escaping the xmas madness of England, and are looking forward (although a bit apprehensive) to our very first cruise.

 

We are not too sure what to expect, and would welcome any hints and tips from all you well-travelled folks!!!

Welcome :) what ship will you be on?

 

Christmas tends to be busy on ships as well. Lots of families.

We are going on the Celebrity Constellation, around the Eastern Carribean.

Looks great in the brochure... we weren't too sure which were the best cabins, but as we only booked a couple of weeks ago, we did not have much choice, we have a concierge suite, Whatever that may be!!

We leave on 17th December, and return New Years Eve.

Congrats on booking your first cruise.

 

Make sure you go to your particular cruise forum and find your foll call and join. You will get to know others that will be on the same cruise as you and get involved with the meet and greet.

 

Go to the forum here with the islands you are going to be visiting and read up on all the different things there are to do there and what sparks your interest. Ask plenty of questions and a lot of knowledgeable people here that have visited the ports can help answer your questions and give wonderful advice.

 

But most of all...enjoy your cruise. :)

I suggest you join the Roll Call for your cruise. There you will meet some of the people who will be traveling with you. To join, Click Boards at the top of this page, Scroll down to Roll Calls, click on your cruise line, Click on your ship. Find the thread for your sailing.

You will be on a longer cruise which tend to not have as many families.

 

Definitely go to the Celebrity board and those nice people will be able to answer specific questions. I would also go to the Celebrity website and read up on the frequenly asked questions.

Nothing to be apprehensive about! It's a vacation...that's all! You can expect to have a great time!
