Today our E-Ticket was made available through our Voyage Personalizer (we have opted to Go Green - no paperwork via mail).

 

I know that the upgrade fairy has inexplicable ways, but has anyone received a free cabin upgrade after your E-Ticket was made available?

For a sample of one, we were upgraded from B4 to A1 last year on arrival at the port. [it took a few hours for our luggage to catch up with us - it spent most of the day on deck 4]

We have a few times and i have just printed it the day before with the new details on it.

We did a late booking for this cruise & went for a D8 Guar; had all information via e-mail last Friday as we also have opted to Go Green - no paperwork via mail, however we had a letter in the post from Thomas Cook after e-mail informing us of the small upgrade.

 

 

I was informed this cruise had all but sold when we booked; however on viewing Thomas Cook & other agents are all showing cabin availability in every category on both dates 16.10.11 for 7 nights S/hamptonto NY & 23.10.11 NY to S/hampton 7 nights.

 

I am begining to think we should have left it a little later & booked for 2 single crossings, The 16.10.11 has some good prices & as a D8 on 23.10.11 is showing the same cost as an A4 balcony cabin.

We got our upgrade before we got our E-ticket, from a C1 to an A4. I think that for us, it would be hoping for a lot to expect another upgrade before our cruise.

Hi Russ - how long before you sail? BTW, I've never been in an A-4, but I walked by one and thought it had really good light, and nice fresh air.

Just a suggestion - print out your ticket and all that jazz, don't wait until the last few days before your voyage (a lesson I learned the hard way). -S

I had to convince the DW for a few extra days in Venice and post in Athens by agreeing that the next cruise will be in January or February to somewhere warm. You should have seen the look I got when I suggested a cruise to the Antartic.
