Taxi/Limo service from Mia to Port Everglades

Hello-

I am in the process of trying to book the Allure and am feeling overwhelmed:eek:

I will be flying in to Miami as airfare is a bit cheaper than flying to Ft Lauderdale. Can someone recommend a good reliable car service from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale? I am flying in the day before and plan on booking a hotel close to the port.

If anyone has hotel recommendations, that would be great too:)

Thanks everybody!!!!!

You might want to investigate the Tri-Rail (commuter train from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach - has free shuttles from all 3 airports to the train). We just did the FLL to MIA leg a few weeks ago for $3.75 each. It's most practical when you have less luggage, but we did it with a rolling carry-on and backpack each plus one larger suitcase between us. Probably not recommended for the less mobile traveler (!!!)

The ship's transfers are $29.50 per person each way. Not as nice as a private car but a bit less costly. We're going to look into that vs Super Shuttle for our upcoming trip in December.

OP is flying in the day "before" so ship transfers won't work in this situation...

We used Bellwood Limos http://www.bellwoodlimos.com/Rates_and_Service.html

last year. We stayed at the Doubletree in FLL & the cost was $90 including gratuity. Our driver was Fabian. He met us in baggage claim, took the luggage off the carousel, & was very easy to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Welcome to Cruise Critic..You might find a lot more info and answers to your questions on the Florida board...Surprised that flights into MIA are less expensive than FLL..usually not the case.Sorry you're feeling so overwhelmed..as all will probably fall into place very easily very quickly. Enjoy your cruise..:)

We used Larry's Limos to get us from MIA to our hotel in FLL right by the port. It cost about $90 from what I remember. Not much more than a cab and was much nicer. They were waiting there for us when we got in. Once we got the luggage, we were off. There was only 2 of us. I think we had booked a Lincoln Towncar, but ended up in a nice big SUV which was fine with us. I would recommend them. Just google them.

Oops.:o We're flying into MIA in December and staying at the Sheraton at the airport because we get in late at night. We're thinking of just going back to the terminal to pick up the transfers to Port Everglades, which is why I thought of it in this case.:)
