Sheraton-Nassau Day Pass---has anyone been here?

My group and I visted this resort 06/06. Day pass is $30pp and purchased onsite. We took a taxi (due to parade) and the cost was $4pp one way. $30 included: towels, kayaking, paddleboards/boats, water trikes, volleyball pit. Snorkeling-$25 deposit to use equipment. There were umbrellas with shaded beach chairs!!! Drinks were expensive but GOOD, Food- so-so.. Vendors-only bothered by two. Property was amazing! :)

So I take it that there are no all inclusive passes available at the Sheraton to include food and drink??

There is a third party vendor that has a package (they advertise here, but I can't remember their name. It's not all inclusive, but it includes a sandwich/entrée/wrap.. and 2 non-alcoholic drinks. I don't see it as saving you any money.

Not sure about that. We arrived around 12:00 therefore everyone in my group had brunch on the ship. The food we had at the Sheraton was our snacks!!! On the way back we stopped by the Fish Fry and had dinner at Goldie's.

If it is NON-alcoholic drinks, it would not be beneficial to me at all. It is a shame that they do not offer a drink and food package, because I like the large layout that the Sheraton has to offer and it seems to be kept up much better than Breezes. I wonder if I can stop at the port and pick up some liquor to take with us to the Sheraton?

Outside food and drink is frowned upon. Especially bottles.

The reason they allow you to purchase a day pass for a small fee is so that you spend money on the property.

We paid 60 per adult and 40 per child. :) It is double what it would cost to just walk up to the desk.. But we like that it included lunch and some drinks! It is all about convenience for us. Knowing we have a spot and it is already paid for is what sold us! :D

Is the day pass good all day? I know our ship will be in Nassau from 7am- 1am and sometimes you have to Be gone by 6pm.

pools and beach close at 7pm in the summer/ Chairs start being stacked around 6.. not much to do after that. There's a bar in the lobby that sometimes has music, karaoke etc. And next door is the casino.. Open on a limited basis. Both are open to the public.

I definitely understand no glass around a pool. Thanks for the advise. Looks like we will be here next Monday 6/24.

Scubagirrl, can I put a request in for a day of nice weather?? :D

We just got back from our Carnival Magic trip. Since we had already done the Atlantis a few years ago, we wanted something reasonable and relaxing. The Sheraton will not disappoint!! It was a beautiful clean beach and not crowded at all. We had a day room for 4 adults at 119.00. We called the 1 800 number for Sheraton to reserve the room as a day room. Very nice to be able to shower and clean up before going back to the ship. There were plenty of water toys available- all we had to do was show our room key to use them.

Traveling there--- Took the Jitney 10 to the hotel. Have to say it was a little scary and crowded. We were the only ones to get off at the hotel, a few people got off at a public beach, and the rest were locals riding. It ate up a lot of our time as well, sitting and waiting for the bus to fill up and making stops. Even though I had wrote the directions down that were given on this site, finding the Jitney line up was not so easy. We had to stop and ask continuously. We decided to take a cab back to the ship just to make sure we were not delayed.

We went to the Sheraton last year when we were on NCI.

We decided to take the local bus to get to the hotel. That was easy. Walk up to the main drag, make a right and walk 3 blocks to the Ice Cream parlor. The bus is right there. The bus route (#10) is painted right on the bus.

The bus dropped us off across the street from the Sheraton.

We went to the Front Desk, asked for a day pass for the 2 of us (2012 was $25 each, now $30?), we handed over $50 and they gave us 2 orange wristbands. Super Easy.

The hotel and beach was beautiful. Plenty of chairs on the beach. By the main pool/bar, most of chairs were taken.

We just went in January. It was $35 a person for the day pass. It went up. You get it at the Customer Service desk in the lobby.

In Jan, it was chilly that day. Wasn't worth it. The towel was all we got out of it. Nobody ever asked us if we were staying there or not when we were down on the beach in the lounge chairs under an umbrella. I'm sure it would have been different if a crowded day.

If it would have been sunny - would have used one of the 5 pools; beach fun etc. If you get there and it's chilly - save your money and go to one of the other beaches close to the ship...there are several and one is even within walking distance.

Great pictures...thanks for sharing! From the pictures of the beach, it looks like you went during the summer, or is it that crowded all of the time?

We were there last week and it was $30.00 per person, we just got on the Jitney and took it the resort. We had a very relaxing time. Beware, others from the cruise ships tried using the facilities and the staff from Sheraton asked them to leave. I was glad that they did it, especially since we took the time to pay the money to use the resort.

Can someone confirm what the rate is for day passes at Sheraton for August? AZ went last week and said$30 but Ki went in January and paid $35. do they change the rates weekly?

thank you

You can go to their Facebook page and ask. That is what I did because I kept getting different prices from people on the board. I posted the question on their Facebook page and they answered within a couple of days.

We were just there this past Monday. We took the jitney#10 right to the entrance. Very easy and a great way to meet some locals. We did the room day pass for $99.00. It was nice to have a room to lock up our valuables and a hot shower to clean up after being out on the beach all day. However, I warn you, the drink prices are as high as the cruise ship. We bought 2 drinks and it cost $21.00 for small solo cup size drinks. But the pools and beach are beautiful.

I emailed the Sheritan this week, and the response said, a day room was 99 for two, and I could add two addtitional people for 10 each, or I could do a day pass for 30 each. There are 4 of us, we save a dollar by getting the room.:)We've done the Jitney before, no problem, and as far as getting there and when to leave, the jitney's dont run late, and you can really only have so many hours in the water before you prune,:D so we who will be there in October will be at the hotel from around 10 am to 4 pm. :) Cant wait, I love the pools there!
