smurf1635 Posted October 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2011 What is the latest you can book a shuttle to the port or airport? Is the day before out of the question? Robin
Cruisin' Chick Posted October 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Where are you catching your shuttle to the port? Hotel?
Putterdude Posted October 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2011 You can book any time in fact you don't need to book at all, they are always happy to have the biz. However if you do book in advance and use one of the discount codes found in this forum you can save a few dollars.
DMRick Posted October 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2011 One thing we thought was good, both at the airport and the pier, they took those of use with reservations in hand first..didn't have to wait for a turn to get on.
smurf1635 Posted October 17, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Yes, a shuttle from hotel to port. I have heard that a taxi is not much more, staying in Long Beach, cruising from San Pedro. Would like the opportunity to clarify that taxi price. How about canceling a shuttle? Anyone have issues with getting a refund? Robin
5fathom Posted October 17, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Taxi from Hyatt in Long Beach to San Pedro was $22.
DMRick Posted October 17, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Taxi from Hyatt in Long Beach to San Pedro was $22. Thank you. We are staying at the Maya, and have read anywhere from $25 - 35 plus tip.
Rare PatriciaF Posted October 17, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Looks like a shared shuttle would be $36 from the Hotel Maya to the port in San Pedro--so I would take a cab.
Cruisin' Chick Posted October 18, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 18, 2011 You will love the Hawaiian cruise on the Golden. We did this one back in December, exactly five years after we did almost the same itinerary on the Island Princess. When you get off the ship, you can catch a taxi there or go to the shuttle island and get on one of the Supershuttle vans to the airport. Hopefully you've scheduled your flight for 1pm or after. I would imagine SS would easily fill a van and take you directly to LAX.

Cruisin' Chick Posted November 2, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 2, 2011 It's actually called "Super Shuttle." Hopefully you don't have a flight before 1pm (the recommended time for flights out of LAX). Noon could be doable. If you have an earlier time, then you should probably reserve your shuttle before your cruise, which you can do through their 800 number.

Cruisin' Chick Posted November 2, 2011 #14 Share Posted November 2, 2011 Great. I just keep seeing "Supper" in some of the posts in this area so I'm wondering if some people think that's the name of the company.
