Breakaway the only ship from NYC in 2013??

We are thinking of doing a Bermuda cruise for our 20th anniversary in May, 2013. Prefer to sail from NYC but the only NCL ship listed is the Breakaway. We wouldn't mind doing the brand new ship but the price is unreal. We are doing a cruise for 5 to the Bahamas on the Gem for less than what the Breakaway would cost for 2.

 

So the question is.... Is it just too early to plan so the schedules of the other ships haven't been listed yet? Or is the Breakaway the only ship that NCL will be sailing out of NYC?

Did you see the prices for the Dawn out of Boston to Bermuda? The Deluxe Owners Suites are going for (+-) $2,000 pp.

On the Breakaway, I think that you can get a Balcony for that price.

The Dawn's suites are sure looking nice since they have been refurbed!

Boston would work too, even easier ride. I can't find anything out of Boston for May 2013. Guess we'll just wait till it gets closer. Maybe by the time we hit our 25th the Breakaway prices will look better.

AFAIK the Pearl comes to NYC Fall of 2012 and should still be in NYC when the Breakaway arrives. I know she will still be in NYC January and February of 2013 at the least.

Won`t the Pearl be heading back to the West Coast for the Alaska season or is NCL planning another ship to go along with the Jewel.

2013 cruise schedules should be getting posted soon. The new brochures are usually out for all the spring travel expos. The Pearl, as others have said, will be in NYC when the Breakaway arrives from the Trans-Atlantic. However, Breakaway will be the only option for NYC cruisers to go to BDA. If you want a cheaper option, check out the Dawn out of Boston when they release the schedules. :)
