Orlandocruiser Posted October 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Some hotels (as in the La Quinta in Hollywood) will let you leave your car during the cruise for free. They will take you to the port for free but you need to cab it back to the hotel (around $20). Parking in the port is $15 a day. Also there is a park and fly right at the port entrance that is reasonable. We always drive down the day before so leave the car at the hotel. There are lots of cabs lined up at disembarcation so grabbing a cab is easy.

TMLAalum Posted October 24, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Welcome to Cruise Critic! Sounds like you are on our cruise: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1241566&page=49 That is the roll call for those of us on the Equinox- except we depart 12/12/11. Check out the thread and sign up for the Celebrity-sponsored Connections Party. We have a fun group from all over the globe and will be meeting each other then and after muster drill. Don't know the menus for the 11 nites, but I do know that Daisy Martinez is a Celebrity Guest Chef for this sailing and that there will be cooking demos + other opportunities. If you aren't traveling far, no need to overnite on the 11th in Ft. Lauderdale. I believe there is parking at the pier- check out the Homeports forum for Ft. Lauderdale. Hope to "see" you on our roll call!
jackdiamond Posted October 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2011 If you do not stay at a hotel the night before, parking at either Park N Fly or Park N Go is much cheaper than parking at the pier. Also, their shuttle takes you right to one of the porters for quick acceptance of your luggage.
Valley Girl of VA Posted October 24, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2011 We always leave our car at the Days Inn in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and take their free shuttle to the pier. We do have to take a cab back unless we are staying there another night.

Valley Girl of VA Posted October 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 26, 2011 If you don't want to eat in the MDR, you can always eat in the buffet, Bistro on Five or do room service.

Half Hitch Posted October 26, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 26, 2011 There's a scaled-down version of the buffet available at night. Also, sushi is set out around 5 p.m. there.
