bartalk Posted November 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2011 I think I read somewhere that if you don't take Marina's excursions, they will still bus you into each destination town for nothing. Is that correct, or is it wishful thinking?
Benita Posted November 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2011 Depends on where you are. Many ports provide free shuttles - it is not Oceania that provides the shuttles, but the port agents.
john2003 Posted November 7, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2011 I understood that Oceania was going to provide shuttles in some ports but without actually stating which ones. Am I incorrect?
Rare LHT28 Posted November 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2011 I understood that Oceania was going to provide shuttles in some ports but without actually stating which ones. Am I incorrect? Yes that was reported as new perk... I guess you would call it But you never seem to know which port until you arrive which seems silly to me
pacheco18 Posted November 7, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2011 On our SE Asia cruise this past February O did provide some free shuttles into a central point in town in some ports. We usually took cabs back to the ship since we were rarely ever at the shuttle stop after sightseeing and we did not want to wait. It's a nice extra but not essential IMO. cbb Posted November 7, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2011 On our last reunion cruise free shuttles were offered at almost every port.
Rare LHT28 Posted November 7, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2011 There was this thread started a while back about the ports that had free shuttles It seems to have fallen by the wayside http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1466724&highlight=shuttles
capecodder2 Posted November 8, 2011 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2011 Most shuttles are provided by either the port authority or city/town, NOT by Oceania itself. I have been happy to have them in some ports.
