Need info re: getting from SFO airport to Fisherman's Wharf hotel

About how long a ride is it from the SFO airport to the Fisherman's Wharf area, and what are my options and approximate costs of getting there?

Will you have a lot of luggage? Are you adverse to MUNI/BART?

 

A cab or car service will be $50+ tip. The airport is about 15 miles from Fisherman's Wharf.

We took the Bay city shuttle for around $12 pp

You can get a coupon online

Took about 30 minutes I think to Holiday Inn Express on North St (?)

Take a shuttle; half-hour if no traffic.

 

You can also take BART (subway) to Embarcadero Station (last SF station) and the Hyatt Regency is right on top.

 

As of this date, Occupy-SF, is also next to the Hyatt.:p

Thanks, LTH. I will check into the shuttle. I will probably have 2 suitcases, a small carry-on, and a totebag with my netbook and some other stuff in it.

The time will vary based on traffic.

 

I would plan on it taking 45 minutes.

 

If you want the convenience I would just take a cab or a taxi van.

 

There are also other shuttle services. If you want other specifics please advise.

Just google SFO shuttles there are several with different prices

Most have a discount coupon on their website

 

if you are more than 2 people a taxi would be better prices

Whenever I am in SFO and have to go downtown, I usually use SuperShuttle. Looks like they want $17 one way to get from the airport to a hotel in the Fisherman's Wharf area.

Thanks for more thoughts. I will likely be taking SuperShuttle, as I will be traveling alone and meeting friends who are also staying at the hotel.
