rdsqrl Posted December 14, 2011 #126 Share Posted December 14, 2011 No, it's definitely menage a trois. One of my favourite desserts. Yum.
lovelearnteach Posted January 18, 2012 Author #127 Share Posted January 18, 2012 After dinner we stop and listen to some musicians playing in the Piazza. Terry heads back to the cabin for the night and I head to the Theater to see the staff production show "If I Were Not Upon The Sea". I mainly go because I need some info for my scavenger hunt. Upon arrival they are handing out balloons to everyone. As a preschool teacher I'm used to doing silly things, it was funny to watch people start off refusing to participate and by the end everyone is laughing and hitting the balloons. I actually really enjoyed the show and went to back to our cabin afterwards which ends Fri. Nov. 18th, 2011.

lovelearnteach Posted January 18, 2012 Author #131 Share Posted January 18, 2012 Sat. Nov. 19th, 2011, our last day of our cruise and a sea day. We get up about 7:45a.m. get ready and head on down to the dinning room for breakfast. I get some fresh melon which tastes like something else was cut with the knife used to cut the melon. It had an off taste I really didn't care for. I also got scrambled eggs with asparagus and swiss cheese and link sausage which was so delicious. I'm wondering if they used the same knife to cut the asparagus and the melon. I also got a blueberry danish and some kind of sticky bun, both were excellent! lovelearnteach Posted January 18, 2012 Author #133 Share Posted January 18, 2012 We had about an hour to kill before we need to head to the theater for the cooking demo. Executive Chef Joel Directo and Maitre D'Hotel Generoso Mazzone make a good comedy team. They were very funny and I really enjoyed the cooking demo. lovelearnteach Posted January 18, 2012 Author #134 Share Posted January 18, 2012 We skip the galley tour as I need to get up on the pool deck for the ice carving as I need one of their signature's for the scavenger hunt. We then head to the Wheelhouse Bar for the pub lunch. Terry has the fish and chips and says they are very good. I have the chicken curry whcih is very good, but it could have been much spicier for my taste, I like curry with some heat. For dessert they have a mixed berry trifle, it's okay. lovelearnteach Posted January 19, 2012 Author #135 Share Posted January 19, 2012 After piddeling around the ship for awhile we go to the dinning room for afternoon tea, where I make a complete glutton of myself. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea despite the fact that 2 drunk girls a table over from us were being completely obnoxious.

lovelearnteach Posted January 19, 2012 Author #138 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Man, I had thought we lost you. Sorry, life got in the way :o;). I did kinda lean on the fact that most of the review was done. I'm glad to finish it up though :).
lovelearnteach Posted January 19, 2012 Author #139 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Great review. I really need to get back on princess. Thank-you, I thought this year we were going to try RCCL, but we really want to sail with the Chumley Bears so it's Princess once again this year. We really enjoy Princess, but I'm ready to branch out a bit, although every Princess cruise brings us that much closer to the coveted elite status :D. lovelearnteach Posted January 19, 2012 Author #140 Share Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) After tea I head back to the cabin and gather up all my scavenger hunt stuff and head to Crooner's Bar. I keep my finger crossed that I at least make 3rd place. I just hope not everyone got every single thing, as I didn't. I find a seat and order a martini and wait for one of the entertainment crew. I see Jess from the crew walk in and she heads to me 1st. We go through everything and she gives me my score of 54 out of a possible 60 points. She says she's going to go check everyone else and she will let me know who has placed. I see her walking around talking with other people in the bar. She comes back over to me and says, "Your the only one who showed up for the scavenger hunt, wait right here and I'll go get your prize." She comes back and says she was going to give a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize but since I'm the only one who showed up she gives me all the prizes. I get a bottle of champagne and a water bottle full of stuff. Edited January 19, 2012 by lovelearnteach

lovelearnteach Posted January 19, 2012 Author #143 Share Posted January 19, 2012 I go back to the cabin to check out my haul. I'm surprised I was the only one to show up for the scavenger hunt. We lounge around in our cabin watching movies, as it is raining outside, until we are getting hungry and decide to head to dinner. I'm not much of a drinker so I decide to take my champagne to dinner and share with whoever our tables mates will be tonight.
lovelearnteach Posted January 19, 2012 Author #144 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Way to go. I know I couldn't believe it that I got all the prizes. It was actually fun collecting all the things I needed, and having to get signature's forced me out of my comfort zone a bit, and I'm glad it did. lovelearnteach Posted January 20, 2012 Author #146 Share Posted January 20, 2012 We are the last 2 to sit down to a table of 8. I tell everyone that I won the champagne and would like to share it with them. Everyone is very grateful and accepts and that was the start of the best dinner of the cruise. Another couple had brought a bottle of wine and so they decided to share with everyone too and we must have sat there chit chatting for 3 hours, long after dinner was over. Terry got the turkey dinner with all trimming's. I got the watermelon and feta salad to start. I got a steak and fingerling potatoes which are really bad french fries. The steak was good, but the french fries were just aweful. As tonight is the last night of the cruise I decide to use my birthday card tonight for a special cake and to get sung to. I also ordered dessert of the menu which I get the mud pie and it is awesome! It's also the baked Alaska waiter dance, but we were never offered any. tobyt Posted January 20, 2012 #148 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Very fun reading! We did the same trip last year, it was wonderful! Did you manage to pick up any of the shells on grand Turk? You go right off the dock (rather than right to jacks) and walk about a 1/4 mile or less up the beach which is kind of rocky but they are everywhere! We managed to snag some really pretty ones and are the best remembrance of a great trip! I leave them poolside and they always get comments! When I first read about the shells I was expecting the normal sized ones that I love to hunt on Florida beaches, the ones on Turk are HUGE, bring a bag or backpack if you want to carry them with ease.
