This is our second day at sea and it's been smooth sailing. The ocean waves have been considered slight. The temp right now outside 60 degrees. It has been chilly since sail-away but I've noticed today it's getting better to sit out on our balcony.

We saw British Invasion last night and it's a very good production. We haven't had any luck in the casino but that's not abnormal for us. The ship looks good all decked out with Christmas trimmings.

I don't know how often I'll be on here but if anyone has any questions, I'll try to answer them. Aloha for now

Celest1022: Thanks for your comments. We also will be on the Dec. 21st cruise.

If you get a chance, would you find out who is in the Wheelhouse. Will the same group

be on our cruise?

Thanks in advance, 11 more days for us.

Greg

Could you please find out how many kids will be on your holiday cruise please? We are planning this cruise in 1 year! Katherine

Day 3 at sea. The weather has finally getting very nice. You can comfortably sit out on your balcony in t-shirts. Definately getting much nicer. Low clouds. The waves are a bit up but not bad. I have only seen 2 kids on board. Our room steward is leaving the ship in Honolulu. His contract is up. Not sure if others are going as well. This is our 3rd cruise to Hawaii in the last 3 yrs and I haven't seen any changes, (which is good) other then the weather, the first few days. Aloha for now!!!

I have read recent reports on CC that lava is again flowing into the ocean between Hilo and Kona. Just wondering if your Captain might route your ship by the volcano flow. We're hoping that might happen also on the December 21st cruise?

We enjoyed the British Invasion last December and it was brand new back then. You'll be missing some rain Monday and Tuesday back home (unless the fronts shift).

Have fun!

I know they are hoping that will happen but the recent USGS info says they think it is flowing into the ocean, but that they haven't seen anything. It would be cool if it was. I also checked a couple of excursions we wanted to take that took boats out to see the lava flow and they are not running again at this time.

I stand corrected. Lava hit the water yesterday/today. One of the vendors is running again, but we will have a hard time using them for our cruise due to the departure times (either before we arrive or after we leave). I have sent a message to another vendor to see if they are going to start up again as their hours worked better for our cruise

Check out the discussion on the Hawaii Ports board here on Cruise Critic. Quite a bit of discussion there.
