Absolutely Incredible!

I love spending the day with no electronics attached to my belt and only a SeaPass card in my pocket.

I love the fact that no one can get in touch with me for a week (or longer :)).

I love the completely relaxed state of mind I attain after about an hour onboard.

I love the fresh, cut up fruit in the WJ.

I appreciate not having to make reservations for dinner.

I love sitting alone on the balconey on "sea days", watching the Sea.

I still get excited when I see the first of the "Flying Fish" as we venture into warmer waters.

I love planning the next cruise!

Go with a positive attitude, and you'll have a wonderful time!

Happy Cruising,

TnT

This is our first cruise with a balcony (an aft balcony (9692) on Mariner), so I am definitely looking forward to relaxing with an ice cold beverage while watching the wake. From what I have read, the aft balcony's are about twice as large as the side balcony's, and actually have 2 lounges on them. I'll report back in a month!

Welcome to the internet! Read each post and weigh its merits and after awhile hear you will learn to avoid the threads that you know will be negative or start a debate. There is plenty of positive here.

Serve me a cold steak on my balcony next to a chain smoker and I'll be happy to be on a cruise and not being a slave to my Fortune 50 soul sucking employer

That is classic. Made me laugh and appreciate. Well said.

I loved going out on the promenade deck and looking over the side and seeing the ocean glide by the ship.

I loved eating dinner in the three story dining room with the string quartet playing soft music.

I loved sitting in the jacuzzi and having the waiter bring me my favorite cocktail.

Even though we usually sail RC, we decided we wanted to drive to Galveston and sail on the almost new Mariner. I won't go into the bad, but to prove that even a bad cruise is better than none, here are 3 good things we enjoyed.

The Maitre D,' who had a lovely voice sang to us each night at dinner (Frank Sinatra, etc.). We found out after we had sailed that it was the Maitre D' whom a

waiter beat with a metal pipe. Don't know any details.

The warm chocolate melting cake is to die for!

Our back to back gave us ample time to totally relax, so that we came home ready to get in the holiday

mode.

I love how our wait staff and the staff at Adventure Ocean went out of their way for my son.

I love how other passengers understood/tolerated/were very kind to my son, especially when watching the ice show and he shrieked (with joy) loudly, several times.

I love being able to spend quality time with my husband and son in a place we've never been and grow closer to both of them.

My husband loves that I won 2 of the last 4 games of bingo totalling $495.56. :D

Terry I'm booked on Mariner in Feburary please give a review

have a great time

I'll most definitely post a review! It has been great reading everyone's posts. I am really jealous of all of people on the holiday cruises we took one 10 years ago, and eveyone still talks about it. Have fun!

Happy Holidays to all of the CC community!

1. Sitting on my balcony first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee looking out at that big blue beautiful sea

2. Knowing that my only responsibility is to relax, enjoy and have fun

3. Spending time with DH, sharing a few good laughs and memories

I love everything everybody else has already mentioned, and...

I love being able to decide on a whim to drop in on the theatre or one of the clubs and see first-rate entertainment without changing my clothes, figuring out transport and parking, paying for tix or cover charges, and having to regulate my alcohol intake so I can drive home afterward safely.

I love that the staff are from all over the world and seem to like telling you about their home countries.

I love getting into my cozy bed at night and being rocked to sleep like a baby in a cradle.

I loved the feeling of adventure and seeing something new and unexpected around every corner...

We love to visit and experience completely new places. It's great to be able to see 3 or 4 different countries while only having to unpack one time!

I love going to dinner in the dining room every night and not worry about the cost.

I love not have to drive.

I love that you can do activities or just take a nap if you want.

I love not having to pack and unpack at each new place.

I love waking up to a new place each day.

I love being able to travel even though my husband is disabled.
