Christmas 2012 seabourn or oceania?

I have narrowed down our options for Xmas and New Year 2012/13 to O Riviera or Seabourn Quest. I am a bit put off Seabourn due to its smoking policy (we are non smokers). Can anyone let me know what O's smoking policy is and also will there be plenty of decorations, atmosphere etc ove the christmas period? Many thanks

Oceania only allows smoking in 2 small areas

1 outside small area on pool deck 1 small almost enclosed area (Oceania class ships) in Horizons lounge

They have zero tolerance policy so people disobeying the rules are put off the ship ;)

I have heard the ships are decorated up for the Holidays as well as Santa arriving

For the safety and security of all guests and staff onboard, Designated Smoking Areas are available on Deck 9, the forward starboard corner of the Pool Deck, and Deck 10, in the aft, port corner of Horizons. These areas are comfortably furnished and conveniently located near food and beverage areas. Smoking is expressly forbidden in all Staterooms and Suites, on verandas, or in any areas of the ship other than officially Designated Smoking Areas. Smoking in a stateroom or suite represents a serious fire and safety hazard to all guests and staff. Guests chosing to disregard this policy will be disembarked at the next port of call and may also be subject to additional fees that will be imposed to cover the costs associated with any damage to and the required cleaning of furnishings, verandas and surrounding deck or accomodation areas. All areas other than those specified as Designated Smoking Areas will remain smoke-free. This includes all guest suites and staterooms, verandas, restaurants, public areas, the Casino and all other areas of the ship. Cigar and Pipe smoking is only permitted on the forward starboard corner of the Pool Deck.

The ships are beautifully decorated:

If smoking is your main criterion definitely go with Oceania.

I would add to this ..if smoking or food are your main criteria, go with Oceania.

For larger "basic" cabins or "all inclusive" features (i.e. alcohol), go with Seabourn.
