Anyone recent cruisers play the new machines in the casino?

I put at least $20 in that thing and didn't win anything. One person got $200 in $5s out of it, nothing else dropped. It's kind of like playing Operation but with all the disappointment of one of the crane machines mixed in. Fun to watch but virtually impossible to win.

I played Casino Vault on the Elation in Jan and won nada!! It is neat to do but the odds are against you as are most machines in casinos:)

I was on the Carnival Pride from 4/15-4/23 and I won an iPad and $500 the last night of the cruise. It started a huge line after I won. While on the cruise one other iPad & $500 was won, there were a couple of other winners for $100 or $200. I do not know why you would even try for that though. I only played when I had ones on me so it cost me $6 until the last night... then i Had one $1 bill left and I came real close, so I put in a $5 and I won on the second try of the $5 bill. (Came real close on the next three, but no more wins) There is a little secret to it, but its hard to explain and easier to show.

There isn't much room to not get it in. On my 7th try at it I hit just the clear part on top below the colored outline (less than a 1/16th of an inch)

Well try to explain anyway to give us a hint. I'm on the Destiny in 11 days and would love to win the Ipad for my son and the $500 for me :D

I was on the Legend cruise January 8th. They say that one girl won six of the ipads and $500. She didn't want the ipad so they gave her $1000 instead; $6,000. I did see one person win a stack of the $100's. I tried a few times; no luck. I think because this peron won so many times, towards the end of the trip, the machine said "temporarily out of order." And it never was back in order. Lucky her.

The machine only starts with 3 iPads each cruise and they do not refill the slot once they have been won... On the Glory the machine is in the casino and all 3 iPads were still there by the end of the week :( Although 2 guys did win the stack of money on the 2nd row but don't know how much it was :)

I was surprised that it wasnt being used all the time, as a matter of fact, most of the time the machine looked lonely !!! My husband, daughter and nephew tried it a couple of times with no luck. The same type of machine is also in the Arcade Room only its filled with ipods and things etc geared towards kids, thus the reason why its "open" 24/7, its more of an arcade game than a gambling one..

Good Luck all who try...

When we were on the freedom in march they did replenish the machine. There were three iPad to start with. Someone won one and the next day they put another one in.

Again, each ship does things differently. The Casino Manager told me they do not refill the won items... I know on the Glory they did not fill in the spots where the passengers won the money... Oh well....

does anyone have any pics and is it really only a dollar? and if its in the casino how can it be availble 24/7

Yes it is just a dollar, it sits on the outer edge right in front of the casino and the machine is always powered on so it is always available

Kind of like slot machines. LOL!

since the machine is outide of the entrance to the casino, is there a problem with teens playing. Since it is technically not a slot machine, but an arcade game. Just curious because we will be on the Glory in June and my 17 year old will probably go nuts if he can play it

Hello people this is a Game works just like a slot machine with programmed results. if its time to pay you can close your eyes does not matter. It is a cash cow wherever they put it because everyone thinks they have a good chance of winning. But in reality it's just a game with set payout rotations. Sorry to bust anybody's bubble.

Husband wins stuffed animals all the time on the crane game. But on the Vault that is another story. Have had on our last 3 cruises. But he has spent $100 over the 3 and not won athing. We have not seen anyone win anything but have walked by and seen things missing where it appears someone has won.

Good luck all. It is very addictive.

It is set to pay out after a predetermined amount is taken in.

Some skill is needed to win, but if it isn't ready to payout, it will not allow you to win.

If you watch it long enough you will notice that most of the time people over shoot the hole. If it were all skill you would see an even amount of under and over shooting of the hole.

So, if you stop the upward movement spot on, the only way the machine can keep you from winning is to allow the upward movement to stop a fraction of a second after you let go of the button. Thus causing you to over shoot the hole.

Unfortunately, it says 18 and over only. I looked because I thought my 14 year old would like it also. Like others have said, it is "rigged", but it is popular (I admit I put my share of $1 bills in to the one on the Magic last week).

You're so right about the programed payouts. It's a ripoff from the get go. You can stand there for hours & see people over & over come close with never a payout & then when the machine is ready to pay, it does.

After saying that I have hit twice -$100 each time (different ship, different cruise line) but it was pure luck. I was give some vouchers each time & would never have used my money to waste on that machine. It almost hurts to see people stand there trying to win time after time. :(

It's not really a ripoff if you know what you're getting into. It's just like slot machines - they are set to pay off a certain percentage.

I do get that it is a bit deceiving to make people think that there is skill involved - of course then again, you have people who play slots who truly believe that rubbing the machine or hitting the button a certain way will help.

Bottom line is, it's a gamble. Everyone playing is just hoping that they will be "lucky" enough to be the one playing when the thing is ready to pay out.

That's the part that rubs me the wrong way- making people believe that any form of skill is involved. There something that's inherently wrong with that.

They now have a new claw machine with stacks of 100's. I was able to get 3 stacks of 100's with a cost of about $40.00. This one takes some skill since you have to pickup the cash right in the middle of the bundles. I always wated untill after a few people picked up stacks and droped them at just the right spot. Then I was able to go in for the kill. It's funny after a successfull pick ther are lots of people who then want to give it a try. Youi need to have patience and wait for just the right time.

John Heald posts winners of the Vault or Cash Cube game on his FB page frequently. I have sat in the casino, and watched people play for hours, some putting in a good hundred or so to almost "getting close" to winning one of the prizes which include iPad, or cash up to $2,500. When on the Breeze someone did win $500 and $1000, which I didn't see, but was mentioned at one of the shows.
