Rare LHT28 Posted January 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2012 I have not been on one yet but looking at some of the descriptions of cabin size & layout I would think not Depends on the ship as well some cabins are very small
PennyAgain Posted January 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2012 The river ships vary in size. Which ship do you want to know about or at least which departure city?
Paulinda Posted January 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2012 Perhaps in one of the newer ships that have larger suites you could accomodate 3. Generally in regular sized cabins it would not be possible. The cabins are generally a queen size bed with very little access around them. I'm not even sure that some of the cruise lines would allow you to have 3 in a room.
paul929207 Posted January 21, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2012 There are probably some that do, buy many are probably too small.

4774Papa Posted January 22, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Can the cabins on river ships accommodate three adults? Our Russian River cruise ship cabin would not house three, but I think some river cruise ships have triple rooms. You would need to check with each company. We were on the Tolstoy on our Russian cruise.. http://www.rivercruising.com/canalboat/amadeus/decks/ms_tolstoy.shtml We will be on AMA in France this May http://amawaterways.com/ships.asp?ship=af&view=pg&type=ship&link=ama&index=
ingo_e Posted January 24, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 24, 2012 As far as I have researched most ships can accomodate 2 persons. Companies rather prefer to advertise with "single cabins" instead. But there are some ships, that have adjoining cabins (you can go from Cabin A to B without using the public area). Have a look at: Viking Danube Viking Fontane Viking Schmann Viking Sky There might be a some other ships around which have private connecting doors, can tell you that next month after research in the national library ;)
