Corkage Fee

Anybody know if the Corkage fee charged in the Dining room for wine brought on board can be deducted from your Beverage Card? Or is it made as a seperate charge to your room card account?

It will be a separate charge and don't see where using a Beverage Card would be advantageous.

Well... in my sometimes crazy thought process...

If you plan on bringing on say 10 bottles of wine, you will have $180 in corkage fees, so buying the $250 beverage card at $225 might make sense with your other trips to the bar. (Ya after all the money spent on the cruise, trying to save 25 bucks, I said it was crazy...)

That's exactly why it's not allowed: you would be getting a 10% discount on the corkage, which is HAL's only way of making something on the wine you don't buy from them. ;)

I read on another board how people disguise the screw top on their 'sneaking devices' so it won't look like what it is when x-rayed. :eek: I was flabberghasted the extremes people go to and how scheming they can get. :rolleyes:

I had corkage deducted from my beverage card on Ryndam this past October with no problems.

On a recent trip (December 2011) I used my $100 beverage card to cover corkage fees.

Absolutely you can use the Beverage Card for the corkage fees in the dining room and in the bar/lounges.
