tkjohn25 Posted February 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Would anybody else like to see a comments section with the reviews? I would love to see what people are thinking about the review they just read. Some of the reviews have to be the MOST rediculous things I have ever read! cliffd64 Posted February 7, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2012 That would tend to degrade rather quickly...
johnmpcny Posted February 7, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Now way! maybe a star rating but people would be so mean. Degrade is mild description for what will happen <G>
Fine and Jim Dandy Posted February 7, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2012 No, the formula is pretty clear. If it is a bad review the cheerleaders would tear it apart. If it is a good review the cheerleaders would praise it. Very little room for criticism on the boards.
Swells1 Posted February 7, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2012 I get why there is no comments section, but I do think there should be an editor or moderator disclaimer if the reviewer posts something that is false.
JMHAM1 Posted February 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2012 It is almost a sport for me because I like to see what all people complain about then compare it to my own experience. We just got back from the Star and I saw the one spot on the carpet near the stairs that "ruined" someone's trip. I probably would not have noticed it at all myself and it was not enough to ruin anything.
SeaShark Posted February 8, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2012 I get why there is no comments section, but I do think there should be an editor or moderator disclaimer if the reviewer posts something that is false. Probably not a practical idea... #1) Huge increase to the workload on the editor/moderator in that they have to "fact-check" and comment on everyone's reviews #2) ALL reviews are nothing more than the OPINION that the writer has about what the writer experienced on their cruise. Since they are just the writer's opinion, they really cannot be "right" or "wrong". You and I may have a differing opinion, but that does nothing to invalidate the opinion of the writer. Lollygil Posted February 8, 2012 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2012 :D wow..I can't imagine how large of a spot it would have to be to "ruin my cruise"
jdvmd Posted February 8, 2012 #9 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Nope, not interested. Sometimes people will post their reviews as a topic on the board and others can comment that way.
Azure Moon Posted February 9, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2012 No, I wouldn't like a comment section or star ratings or even a thumbs up/like or thumbs down/dislike choice.
garycarla Posted February 9, 2012 #11 Share Posted February 9, 2012 Lots of sites with product reviews allow readers to give it a thumbs up, etc. Maybe worth something, but like some reviews that are not worth the time to read...
ZoneHPH Posted February 9, 2012 #12 Share Posted February 9, 2012 Did someone say cheerleaders?
FEckeT Posted February 9, 2012 #13 Share Posted February 9, 2012 Did someone say cheerleaders? I absolutely LOVE your cheerleaders. How or where did you get this? Wish I was computer literate ;)
