How do you know you're on a cruise?

The other day I was thinking about my last cruise with Carnival. I got to thinking about the little things that reminds me that I am on a cruise...

1. Seeing the boat as we drive up to the terminal.

2. The smell of the ship...especially the dining room.

3. When it's quiet in my cabin, there's always this low humming sound that I can hear (possibly the ship cutting through the water, or possibly the engines).

Finally...

4. Sitting in the lobby and just enjoying the sights and sounds.

What are your triggers?

I don't know yet. But, I will definitely let you know when we get back from sailing the Paradise on 2/20 lol, we cannot wait. Even with all of the shopping and getting ready to go on our cruise, the wifey and I are like little kids counting the days until we leave.

I know i am on a cruise when...

I dont wake up to my two and three year old fussing..

I dont have to cook or clean...

When me and the hubby can set on the deck half the night and watch the world go by..

when i am being weighed on hand and food! ( Cause that SURE doesnt happen at home!)

1. Getting my S&S card, Looking at my DR assignment.

2. Seeing Freddy. (I love getting my picture with him)

3. Getting that Funship Special drink. (Or sometimes, a bucket of beers to share with DH, depending on what I feel like at the time)

4. Being waited on - no cooking, dishes, making the bed, cleaning, etc.

5. Being in a warm climate and having fun!

I have a perfume that I bought for my very first cruise 5 years ago. I rarely wear it but when I smell it, it automatically takes me back to the cruise! Whenever I go on a vacation I pick a new perfume or scented lotion so that I'll always have a trigger to remind me of that particular vacation.:)

When the bags arrive. Everything is unpacked. My dh explores the ship, my ds explores the kids club or is hanging by the pool, and finally there I am......alone, in a tiny room we call a cabin, watching the water rush by the ship. I take my first steps on the balcony all by my self. It's heaven. I'm on a cruise. Woot!

Is it obvious I'm the one that juggles the family schedules or what lol. :)
