Price jump on Caribbean Princess

I was just on a very popular online agency that i've used in the past, the price for the CP 11/12/05 just jumped $45 a person between yesterday and today! I am booking on Friday once I have everyone that wants to go. What gives with the price hike?

Happens all the time.....and after you book it may go up again, or perhaps you will be lucky and it will drop and you will get some credit. :)

it will just probably go up. I saw this happen last year right after I booked the Caribbean Princess and of course, the price went up and stayed up!

Consider yourself lucky that you booked that cruise before it went up then :D

Are we allowed to ask what online agency you usually find the best prices on here? I know the one I use but I would love another for comparison's sake.

Cruise prices are similiar to airfare prices. They can change from minute to minute.

Considering the continued rising cost of oil, I believe we will continue to see prices go up.

AndiandMike: Same thing happened to me, checked the fare last night and this AM, ready to book this PM and fare had jumped $200/each!!!!! Read on the HAL board that Good Morning America had a blurb on a 9% increase for cruises, so Princess must have made this effective immediately.

I was referring to their post right above mine where they said that they booked last year's cruise, and then the price kept going up afterwards. :D
